A N95 Mask is made from multiple layers of synthetic material (typically a polypropylene plastic polymer) and is designed to be worn over the mouth and nose. The mask is a type of respirator. It offers more protection than a medical mask does because it filters out both large and small particles when the wearer inhales. Because N95 masks have been in short supply, the CDC has said they should be reserved for health care providers. It is a class of Filtering Face piece Respirators that offers 95% protection from airborne particulates as little as 0.3 microns. The N95 Mask is very effective and comfortable.
